Stellar Lumens Finally Enters Top 10 Cryptocurrencies

Stellar Lumens (XLM) is now considered one of the hottest cryptocurrency after it managed to inch its way to the top 10 largest digital currencies by January 2, 2018.

In a comparative table shown by CNBC on January 2, both Stellar Lumens and Ripple were the biggest movers in terms of price since December 24, 2017.

Stellar Lumens debuted to the top 10 list and landed on the number 8 spot. Ripple, on the other hand, has taken over Ethereum and nabbed the second spot after staying in the fourth place.

Stellar Lumens is also expected to grow further as two both Binance and GOPAX exchanges have listed XLM in their platform as among their new trading partner.

The year 2017 has been particularly good for Stellar Lumens. Aside from the skyrocketing price, Stellar has also ventured on partnerships with a number of financial institutions.

According to the year-end report from Stellar, its new partners include web-payment system firm  SatoshiPay, the software company EXCH ONE GMBH, and Nigeria-based non-cash remittance company SureRemit, to name a few.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin still tops the list of the 10 biggest cryptocurrencies today.
