Hooters To Reward Customers with Bitcoin
The Bitcoin craze is just unstoppable. Another chain that’s looking to jump on the bandwagon is Hooters’ investor Chanticleer Holdings, Inc.
Its new way of growing his business and keeping customers happy? Offering them a Bitcoin Loyalty Reward.
The big news was revealed on January 2, 2018, in a press release. In a report, Chanticleer Holdings reveals that is going to utilize Mobivity Blockchain Technology to power up the crypto-based loyalty program.
Part of the statement released by the Mobivity Holdings CEO Dennis Becke includes:
“Eating a burger is now a way to mine for cryptocoins! Every meal enjoyed at any Chanticleer Holdings brand will accrue currency to the consumer that can be used for future meals or traded with other consumers.”
President and CEO of Chanticleer Holdings, Michael D. Pruitt, also mentioned that they intend to roll out a loyalty program that does not only create a fragmented experience for the consumers.
An excerpt from the press release reads:
“We wanted to expand our existing loyalty program with something that really changes the way our customers can leverage their rewards; Mobivity Merit is real cryptocurrency, leveraging the same infrastructure and principles of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and more, and will enable our customers to make use of their rewards in entirely new ways.”
After the big reveal on January 2, shares of Chanticleer skyrocketed by 41%. The company, whose share price is still lower by 75% over the last three years, was valued at 11.3 million US dollars last Tuesday.
