European Banking Authority and MiCA

MiCA, also known as the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation of the European Union, will be the subject of a discussion in the European Parliament on April 18. Despite the fact that the regulation’s political contours were finalized in June 2022, several delays have occurred in reaching a definitive agreement on an official legal text that must be translated into all 24 of the EU’s official languages.

The growing adoption of cryptocurrencies has pushed regulators to come up with necessary frameworks for the cryptocurrency realm. MiCA is being released with a vision of maintaining financial stability and protecting investors.

MiCA will also be the first regulation that addresses cryptocurrency investment concerns if it ever becomes a law. The law will also collaboratively help in the promotion and growth of the cryptocurrency industry and, at the same time, protect the investors.
